Job Overview
As the Head of Data Science at Leobrix, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and implementing AI and ML solutions for our products and projects. You will lead a team of talented data scientists and help our clients execute their AI strategy. You are expected to collaborate with technology architects and product managers to integrate AI solutions within our products. As a senior data science leader, you will guide our clients and help them identify data science initiatives and estimate the financial value of each project/initiative. As a senior leader you are expected to adopt a holistic view of the ecosystem that is required to successfully develop and implement a data science solution.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Re-imagine existing products and processes and identify how AI can create significant business value for our clients.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data scientists, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute data strategies, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security.
- Drive advanced analytics projects, including predictive modelling, machine learning, and AI, to provide actionable insights and enhance decision-making.
- Partner with technology team for data asset creation, data asset identification, model implementation and model governance.
- Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop data-driven solutions that address critical challenges.
- Stay current with emerging data science trends, technologies, and methodologies, and apply them to enhance our data science capabilities.
- Ensure data science activities adhere to ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Manage the data science budget, allocating resources effectively and tracking expenses.
- Effectively communicate data-driven insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 9 years of experience in data science roles, with a strong track record of leadership and innovation.
- Proficiency in Data Science tools and programming languages. (Python, R & SQL).
- Deep understanding of machine learning, AI, and statistical analysis techniques.
- Deep understanding of ML Ops, Data pipeline automation and Explainable AI.
- Strong expertise in Natural Language Processing and Image Analytics. Experience of developing Deep Learning Models and developing models using a Transfer Learning approach.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
- Strong project management and team leadership skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations is a plus.
